The app serves as a digital platform that connects Work Seekers (individuals offering blue-collar and skilled/unskilled labour services), Contractors (individuals or entities registering to offer a team of workers for engagement), and Work Providers (businesses, companies, and individuals seeking to hire Work Seekers or Contractor teams).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the Karmika app, the purposes for which it is used, how it is stored and shared, and the rights available to you as a user. This policy applies to all users of the Karmika mobile application, including Work Seekers, Contractors, and Work Providers.

• Team size and contracting category (for users registering as a Contractor)

• Device ID (Android ID / IDFA)
• Device type, operating system, and app version
• Crash logs and diagnostic reports
• Session duration and general usage data

D. Location Data

• Precise or approximate geographical location (only if you grant permission through your device settings)

E. Financial & Transaction Data

• UPI IDs / masked payment card information (processed exclusively by third-party payment gateways)
• Karmika Coins purchase and usage history (wallet balance and transaction records)

3. How We Use Your Data

We collect and process personal data solely for the following purposes:

• To create, manage, and maintain user accounts on the platform.
• To match Work Seekers and Contractor teams with relevant job listings and Work Providers.
• To share contact details between matched parties upon job application, or when a Work Provider uses Karmika Coins to unlock those details.
• To process Karmika Coins purchases and maintain wallet transaction records.
• To provide customer support and resolve disputes or issues.
• To monitor platform activity and ensure compliance with our policies.
• To comply with applicable tax laws, regulatory obligations, and legal requirements.
• To analyse usage patterns and improve app performance and user experience.
• To send transactional notifications, service updates, and security alerts.

We do not use your personal data for unsolicited marketing, promotional campaigns, or spam.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your personal data in the following limited circumstances:

With Other Platform Users:

• A Work Seeker's or Contractor's contact details are shared with a Work Provider upon confirmed job application, or when the Work Provider uses Karmika Coins to unlock those details.

With Service Providers:

• We use reputable third-party providers for cloud infrastructure (AWS, Firebase), analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics), and payment processing (Razorpay). These providers are contractually bound to keep your data secure and to use it only for the purpose of providing services to us.

For Legal & Regulatory Compliance:

• We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or a competent regulatory or law enforcement authority.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:

• End-to-end encryption of data in transit

• Token-based authentication and firewall protection
